Sandy Paws & Wagging Tails: The Pawfect Pet-Friendly Holidays in the UK
There’s nothing better than a holiday—except maybe a holiday with your pet! We love going on holiday with our CEO Jackson.
At Pawsitively Purrfect, we know how important your pets are, so we have gathered together some great UK pet friendly holidays! Whether you're dreaming of sandy beaches, countryside walks, or cosy coastal cottages, these spots offer the pawfect escape.
Our personal favourite that we visit every year: The Bay, Filey, North Yorkshire.
Amazing for seaside strolls, dog-friendly cottages, and lots of open space.
Nestled on the beautiful Yorkshire coast, The Bay in Filey is a purpose-built holiday village designed for peace, comfort, and pets! With direct access to the 5-mile-long Filey Beach, your pup can run, dig, and paddle to their heart's content. And yes—dogs are allowed on large sections of the beach all year round!
We love Filey in general as it isn't over crowded, which is amazing for our CEO Jackson as he can be afraid of too many noises.
Accommodation here is super pet-friendly, with many cottages welcoming multiple dogs and even providing pet beds, bowls, and treats on arrival. We personally love the lodges with enclosed gardens so that Jackson is super secure and we can relax.
After a beach walk, cosy up in your cottage with your pup or visit the welcoming on site pub.
Pack your pet’s Personalised mini backpack and Personalised cosy blanket from our shop—it’s ideal for making any holiday cottage feel like home.
The Lake District, Cumbria
Great for scenic hikes, dog-friendly pubs, and rustic stays.
The Lake District is heaven for adventurous pets and their outdoorsy humans. With lots of dog-friendly trails around Windermere, Derwentwater, and Grasmere, your dog can hike beside you through fells, forests, and lakeside paths.
You’ll find plenty of pet friendly lodges, B&Bs, and country pubs that keep water bowls by the door and dog biscuits at the bar making it one of the most popular places for pet lovers to go.
What to bring: Our Personalised mini backpack and Personalised towel are perfect for long walks and trail snacks.
Cornwall, South West England
Great for coastal charm and dog-friendly days out
With over 300 beaches, many of which welcome dogs all year round, Cornwall is a top spot for beach-loving pets. Places like Perranporth, Watergate Bay, and Mawgan Porth offer wide sandy stretches and plenty of space to do zoomies.
There are lots of pet-friendly cottages, and many cafés offer doggie menus and outdoor seating.
Style Tip: Our custom pet bandanas are great for seaside snaps!
The New Forest, Hampshire
Great for nature trails, free-roaming ponies, and forest vibes
The New Forest offers a mix of ancient woodland, open heathland, and charming villages. It’s a fantastic escape for dogs who love to explore new scents. You might even bump into the famous New Forest ponies (so best to keep excitable pups on lead!).
With loads of dog-friendly accommodation and traditional country pubs, it’s ideal for a slower-paced, nature-filled break.
Don't forget: Our Personalised mini backpack, Drinkware and Personalised towel are must-haves for woodland explorers!
Scottish Highlands, Northern Scotland
Great for remote escapes, loch-side cottages, and wide-open adventures
For those looking to escape the hustle and bustle, the Scottish Highlands offer breathtaking views and peaceful landscapes. Think dog-friendly log cabins beside lochs, snowy mountains, and endless space to roam.
Whether you’re visiting Loch Ness, exploring the Isle of Skye, or relaxing in a quiet village, your pup will have the time of their life sniffing new surroundings and running wild.
